People who are always trying to act smarter than they are don’t realize they are missing the point of the conversation. When you really think about it, they aren’t really making any effort to be polite or nice. They are just trying to act smarter than everyone else. The reason why this is so bad is because when you act in this way, people can tell that you are just pretending to be smart and that you aren’t really interested in the topic at hand.
